Banana Stem
Banana stems fluctuate in size, averaging somewhere around five centimeters in measurement when sold in business sectors, and are round and hollow to prolonged in shape. The external layer of the stem is a stringy, green sheath that is unappetizing and extreme to eliminate. Under this layer, the center is the eatable piece of the stem and is white to light green-yellow with a firm, thick consistency. Banana stems are fresh with a surface like jicama and have a gentle, sweet-tart, vegetal flavor.
