Double Beans Peeled

Phaseolus lunatus commonly known as double bean is a legume belonging to the Fabaceae or Leguminosae family. Cultivated for its edible seeds lima beans are also known as avocado seeds or chiva seeds and the vegetables origins date back to Andean and Mesoamerican times. Cultivation of the plant spread north of the Rio Grande in the 1300s and it was cultivated in the Old World in the 16th century. Lima beans and butter beans are two types of beans in the Americas. Shea seeds are the varieties designated as butternuts and are traditionally also known as the Dixie or Henderson varieties.
